Branch Office Registration
Registration of branch office can be considered one of the best options to initiate business entity in Bangladesh as it clear a path to incorporate a 100% foreign invested company in Bangladesh. By registering a branch office in Bangladesh gives the parent company the freedom to carry all the necessary stuff through the branch office while still being in foreign land.
Permission from BIDA is required in order to set up a Branch office of foreign entity. An application in the prescribed form is required along with the specific documents must be send to BIDA to seek the permission. The documents which are attached to the application must be attested by the Bangladesh Embassy or High Commission of the country of origin or Apex Chamber of Commerce of the country of origin. The foreign entity must also transfer USD 50,000 (Fifty Thousand US Dollar) to the branch of Bangladesh as it is stated by the BIDA requirements.
